Great user experience, also referred to as UX, is key to every website’s success. Design and usability say a lot about your business and your attitude to customer service. Converting anonymous users into buyers on your website can be competitive and complex. Therefore, ensuring that your website is user-friendly and easy to navigate is essential. Your competitors are only one click away.

An improved online customer experience will significantly improve conversion rates and turnover, that’s why traditional website design is evolving into User Experience Design.

Workshop Content

We will use case studies to look at best practice website design and explore questions such as:

  • What is User Experience and why is it important?
  • How can persuasive design influence users?
  • How does User Experience work and what should you measure?
  • What are the best techniques to make sure User Experience delivers results?
  • Ongoing UX improvement and optimisation.

The session features case studies and examples. We will also review some delegate websites, if there are any volunteers, and make recommendations during the session.

What do I need to bring?

Delegates may bring a laptop or tablet to access various websites to test their user experience. Don’t forget to bring a power pack.

Who should attend?

This workshop is aimed at business owners and managers who are looking into improving a website or launching a new one. I will benefit both those planning on doing this internally as well as those working with external agencies. Businesses attempting to measure return on investment may also benefit.

What will I learn?

  • How improved user experience can help your tourism businesses grow
  • What UX techniques you can adopt within your own business (or with your agency)
  • Why great design makes great business sense
  • What to review, measure and improve to get better results
