The theme of this year’s ASSC Conference and Exhibition is Scottish Self-Catering: A Bright Global Future.
Attendees will gain essential insights into future developments in the sector, benefit from the experience and knowledge of international experts, and take home valuable and essential practical knowledge that will benefit their businesses and the sector.
Founded in 1978, the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers is the leading source of knowledge on short-term letting and holiday homes in Scotland. The ASSC is the only trade body representing the interests of the traditional self-catering sector. It has more than 650 Members, operating in excess of 7,000 self-catering properties throughout Scotland, from city centre apartments, to rural cottages, to lodges and chalets, to castles.
The ASSC commits its members to maintaining the principles of quality, integrity, cleanliness, comfort, courtesy and efficiency and to offering visitors to Scotland consistently high standards within their self-catering properties. As founding members of the European Holiday Homes Association (EHHA), the ASSC has close links with other European countries. It is also a member of the Scottish Tourism Alliance Council. The Association works closely with local authorities and the Scottish Government to support the self-catering and short-term let sector and has recently implemented a code of conduct for members, codifying its values.
Its anticipated that over 300 business owners, property managers, service providers and industry decision makers will attend this year’s conference. It will offer the opportunity to network with other accommodation providers, industry leaders and providers of sector-specific products and services. ASSC Conference and Exhibition, Self-Catering: A Bright Global Future, will inspire, motivate, and educate.
